The Cabo Rojo Lighthouse or the Morrillos Lighthouse is a historic place in Puerto Rico, built in 1882 by the Spaniards and still in operation. To reach it you will have to drive through an unpaved road for approximately 15 minutes. This path will allow you to enjoy the Cabo Rojo Nature Reserve and its many mangroves, salt mines and wildlife. Once you reach the parking lot of the lighthouse you must climb a hill walking about 10 minutes. Once up, you will be struck by the beauty of the Caribbean Sea and the contrast between the nature reserve and the lighthouse and the immense limestone cliff that reaches the sea. You can enjoy nature using the trails that are in the area. Some of these trails will take you to Playa Sucia.

La Parguera de Lajas has many attractions. Many of them are natural and others are not. It has the colorful boats houses. They are strictly regulated to minimize the impact on nature.    All waste must be processed in each of them and it is forbidden to throw it directly into the bay. They can be seen on a walk through the mangroves.

1216/5000 Porta Coeli (Door to Heaven) The convent church, or El Convento de Santo Domingo de Porta Coeli in Spanish, is one of the oldest ecclesiastical structures in the Western Hemisphere, located in San Germán, Puerto Rico. History- In 1609, the Dominican Order built the Porta Coeli Convent on the top of a hill in what is now the Historic District of San Germán. During the 18th century, the Convent was rebuilt and a church was built next to it. The single nave church was built of rubble masonry with stucco walls and wooden roof. In 1949 Ubaldino Ramírez de Arellano, Monsignor Mac Manus, Bishop of Ponce, Senator Santiago R. Palmer and others organized the sale of the church of Porta Coeli in San Germán to the government of Puerto Rico for one dollar to be responsible for their custody and preservation. After the restoration by the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, the church now houses the Museum of Religious Art. This is a museum of religious paintings and wood carvings dating from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The building was included in 1976 in the National Registry of Historic Places of the United States as Convent of Porta Coeli.


It is located on the Malecón de Guánica Bay, just at the end of 25 de Julio Street, where the small dock where the first troops landed was located. This stone was engraved in low relief, near the road that leads to Caña Gorda (probably where a small fort was built), by the soldiers of the 3rd Battalion of the 1st Corps of Volunteer Engineers in September 1898. In 1945 it was found by some workers who built the current road that passes next to the old lighthouse, which received the order to place it on one side without damaging it or moving it until they received instructions from the War Department of the United States. Some time later a teacher, wife of a historian of San Juan (we regret not knowing the name of both), got permission to move her to where she is now. In 1955 a plaque was placed. The inscription on the stone reads as follows: 3RD. BAT.1ST. U.S.V. ENGRS.SEPT. 1898 This stone is today the center of many political controversies because of the different meanings that they want to give it. Let the stone in peace since she and her brands are already part of our history and our heritage (we agree or disagree with what it represents).

Hacienda Juanita (built 1833-34) is a coffee plantation hacienda in the city of Maricao, Puerto Rico. The design is based on the typical Puerto Rican culture and was commissioned by the wife of a Spanish official. [1] Coffee production at the hacienda declined since the 1960s. [2] Hotel From 1976 it was converted, with the help of the government, [3] into one of the first paradores in Puerto Rico, and operated, administered by the Tourism Company of Puerto Rico,   as a agro-hotel with 21 rooms. At 1,600 feet (490 m) above sea level, visitors can enjoy the view and tranquility of the mountains of Puerto Rico. [4] The parador passed to the new private owners in 2005, but it was closed in 2011. [5] The hotel had housed a Parador Room, a permanent exhibition of ancient artifacts related to the production of Puerto Rican coffee.

The Acabe, in Yauco the harvest festivals are recurrent in the history of all peoples. The industrial society has relegated them from their central role, in the same way that consumerism has displaced all meaningful capacity of production. The ending in Yauco is nostalgic reminiscence of past eras, but at the same time it is an opportunity to make a comment about the earth and our primal link to it.


In the town of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico is this beautiful place, Playa Ventana. It is recommended to take pictures, walk, rest and enjoy the view. After crossing some beautiful plantations of mango trees, You arrive at the shore and you can admire the beauty of this corner of Puerto Rico. The time to access the area depends on availability, as indicated by the security personnel at the entrance gate, since the road is through private estates. It is recommended to avoid small or low vehicles since the road is on land and sand.

Peñuelas is an autonomous municipality of Puerto Rico located on the southern coast. It is also known as El Valle de los Flamboyanes or La capital del güiro. It limits with Ponce to the east, Guayanilla to the west and Adjuntas to the north. His name is Peñolanos. Its current mayor is Walter Torres Maldonado. Peñuelas is divided into 12 neighborhoods and the town of Peñuelas, the administrative center and main town of the municipality.

Horomio, word taína that called an undetermined river in this region. When the Spanish colonizer came to these fertile plains and hills readjusted and adapted Horomico to what is now known as Hormigueros.

In 1953, the Blessed Virgin appeared to three humble children in the Rincon de Sabana Grande neighborhood in Puerto Rico. The children Juan Ángel Collado, eight years old, and the sisters Ramonita and Isidra Belén, nine and seven years old, were studying in the small rural school Lola Rodríguez de Tió, near the place where the transcendental event occurred.
